Bio
Dyersburg State Community College has announced the hiring of Wesley Pittman as the new Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Pittman brings over a decade of experience, including coaching roles at the University of Florida and Eastern Florida State College. At Eastern Florida State, he was instrumental in leading the team to a NJCAA Final Four appearance, achieving a #3 national ranking, and winning consecutive Mid-Florida Conference Championships. His coaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships and preparing student-athletes for success both on and off the court.
Pittman holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Wingate University and a Master of Science in Sports Management from the University of Florida. Coach Pittman shared his gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing his commitment to building a program that will make the college and community proud, with a focus on developing talented, high-character student-athletes.
Dyersburg State looks forward to a bright future for its Men’s Basketball program under Coach Pittman’s leadership, confident in his ability to elevate the team and foster excellence on and off the court.
